Sealed Audit Trail#

Compliance requires not just protecting data, but proving that you have protected it. Redactify provides a comprehensive, sealed audit trail for every redaction event.

What is Logged?#

Whenever Redactify detects sensitive data and executes an action (Redact, Clear, or Delete), an immutable record is created in the audit log. The log captures the following metadata:

• Record ID: The unique HubSpot ID of the engagement record that was altered.
• Timestamp: The exact date and time the redaction occurred.
• Matched Patterns: The specific rules that triggered the action (e.g., Built-in: SSN or Custom: Internal Project Code).
• Applied Action: The action taken by Redactify (Redact, Clear, or Delete).
• Originating User: Information on who originally created the engagement record (if available).

Sealed for Compliance#

The most important feature of the audit trail is what it does not contain.

Redactify never stores the actual sensitive content it detected. The text itself is permanently redacted from your CRM and is not saved in the audit log. This guarantees that your compliance reports do not inadvertently become a secondary breach vector for sensitive data.
